Photo Card Chef prints all photo cards and invitations on Heavy Card Stock, never on photo paper. The method of printing is Digital Offset Printing, or press printing, for a more high-end look for your invitations or announcements.

Our FAQ Page has a detailed description of each of the finish types offered at Photo Card Chef (see question #18 on the FAQ page). For those who want a hands-on feel for our press printed photo cards, you can order a sample pack.

Sample packs for Photo Wedding Invitations are now available.  There are two packs available to choose from.

Our Wedding Invitation Sample packs feature our Contemporary Wedding Invitations. This is the only wedding invitation design available as a sample at this time. 

Sample pack #1 includes 2 finish types:

• Semi-Gloss, printed on #110 card stock
• High-Gloss UV Coated, printed on #110 card stock

Sample pack #2  includes six sample wedding invitations, featuring the six finish types:

• Semi-Gloss, printed on #110 card stock
• High-Gloss UV Coated, printed on #110 card stock
• Pearl UV Coated, printed on #110 card stock
• Matte Linen Texture, printed on #80 card stock
• Matte 100% Recycled, printed on #110 card stock
• Matte "Watercolor Paper" Card Stock, printed on#90 card stock

Photo Card Chef now offers a Smooth Matte Finish, printed on #100 card stock, for photo cards, however, this card is not currently available as a sample. The card is similar in feel and texture to our Matte Recycled Card Stock.

Sample packs are offered so that you can be comfortable ordering from the Photo Card Chef.  You can see for yourself how beautiful the sheen of the Pearl UV-Coated wedding invitation is, and how professional the quality of our card stock is. 

Due to the complexity of the press-printing system, we are unable to print just one card, and so, cannot send any of our card designs as samples except for these Contemporary Wedding Invitations shown. The purpose of our samples packs is for those who are curious about the quality of our cards and to see the various finish types we offer. Therefore we have pre-printed these wedding invitations to send as samples so you can be assured that the quality of our photo cards exceeds that of others, and so you can see the difference between each of our finish types.

Please note: these cards cannot be personalized.  Our sample packs are pre-printed to show the high quality of our press printing, and to show the various finish types we offer.  The samples are identical to the cards shown below.
